Overview of the Summer Internship Programme...

The objective of the programme is to provide work experience for 11 weeks during the summer period. The Summer Internship programme offers successful candidates the opportunity to gain real and valuable experience within Financial Services. We have vacancies within the areas of; Risk, Finance, Operations and Technology. As employers we use this time to help us identify talent for the full time Graduate Programme but it is also an excellent opportunity for successful candidates to confirm their decision to embark on a career in Financial Services with Citigroup.

All interns will have an initial induction programme with regulatory and business specific training. Interns will also be required to take part in a community challenge.

This programme is unique because….

The Summer Internship offers student a unique insight into the workings of the worlds largest financial services organisation.

Every intern will be assigned to a manager who will be responsible for their development throughout the 11 weeks. Every intern will set objectives at the start of the internship and have two appraisals throughout the internship to measure their achievements again these. This is an excellent opportunity to learn more about your strengths and development areas and hopefully you will find that the skills you acquire at Citigroup will help you when you go back to education and/or when you start your career full time following graduation.

What we look for in a candidate...

Successful candidates will usually be in their penultimate year of study of their university degree course. However, exceptional candidates who do not match this profile will not be excluded from consideration providing they have the necessary skills and type of experience.
Strong academic record
Commitment to a career in financial services
Good commercial awareness
Excellent communication skills
Fluency in other languages is desirable
Good commercial awareness
Demonstrated track record of success and initiative
Strong analytical skills, logical thinking, and good judgment
Creativity and the ability to generate innovative opportunities/possibilities
